Tyvärr har “den traditionella journalistikens” debattörer fastnat i en peptalk-floskel om att “vi måste göra det vi är bra på” – vilket i princip anses handla om att “hitta tillbaka till vårt gamla självförtroende” och “våga ta betalt för det”. Visst kan jag, som både fostrad och försörjd inom printvärlden och fortfarande förälskad i den, längta efter ett pånyttfött självförtroende som kan lyfta hela branschen, inklusive dess mer förstockade förgreningar. Men då vill jag se ett självförtroende som skapas genom att vi vidgar blicken och tänker stort, och inte ett arrogant och enfaldigt förlegat “självförtroende” som återskapas genom att vi blundar och tänker bort.
